Deliveries Coordinator – Full Time – £16,000 p/a

The Deliveries Coordinator will be responsible for the smooth running our our veg bag subscription scheme, wholesale orders and online shop (once launched). Currently we distribute veg bags to around 200 households a week. You’ll be the point of contact for our customers and also work closely with our drivers, growers and producers to ensure the smooth running and ongoing improvement of the service.

Key duties will include:

  • Correspondence with customers relating to setting up new orders and making amendments.

  • Placing orders and working with our growers to put together our weekly veg bags.

  • Creating delivery lists for our drivers and packing list for veg bag packers.

  • Promoting, developing and managing our wholesale offer, veg bag subscriptions and online shop .

  • Putting together weekly prices, emailing customers and writing a weekly veg bag newsletter.

  • Promoting Locavore and our services at events and farmers markets.

  • Packing orders and making deliveries as required.

Key Skills:

  • A good hold of common software packages particularly Excel/open office spreadsheet.

  • Good customer service and manner in person, on the phone, by email and on social media.

  • Knowledge of seasonal produce.

  • The ability to work as part of a small team and adapt to tasks as required.

 

Admin & Project Assistant – Full Time – £16,000 p/a

This post has a wide ranging remit and will give the post holder the opportunity the chance to contribute right across the social enterprise. The Admin & Project Assistant will provide support across the enterprise to ensure smooth running of our operations and also take a creative hand in developing and promoting our work.

Key duties will include:

  • Setting up and running systems across the business including book keeping and HR.

  • Managing social media , our CMS website and putting together newsletters with the staff team.

  • Assisting the Managing Director with project work including development plans for our social supermarket.

  • Attending meetings, taking minutes and keeping notes;

  • Managing and maintaining budgets, as well as invoicing;

  • Carrying out specific projects /research and feeding back findings to the team

  • Outreach work at events to promote Locavore and drive sales.

  • Assist with other tasks across the enterprise as required.

Key Skills:

  • A high level of knowledge to use a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, Access, etc., to produce correspondence and documents and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets and databases;

  • The ability to use your initiative to find solutions to problems.

  • Good customer service and manner in person, on the phone, by email and on social media.

  • The ability to work as part of a small team and adapt to tasks as required.

Eligibility Criteria

These roles will be part funded by First Port and Big Lottery Scotland’s Launch Me programme and Glasgow City Councils Commonwealth Graduates Fund and as such applicants must meet the criteria set out bellow:

  • Have graduated in the last 3 years with a post/degree award

  • Have been unemployed or underemployed post graduation for the last 13 weeks and are not currently mandated to The Work Programme

  • Currently live within the Glasgow City Council Boundary Area and can provide residency criteria

  • Be legally entitled to work in the United Kingdom for a minimum of 2 years from your potential start date of employment
