We’re looking for someone to help out on our market garden at weekends to keep the place running while our growers aren’t on site. The job will include working a split shift over the day with a few hours in the morning and evening. The time of these hours is flexible to an extent but the pattern means it would be suit a very local person who will be home most weekends in the morning and at night.

Responsibilities will include looking after our chickens, ducks & pigs. This includes giving feed and water to the animals and collecting eggs. You’ll also be checking up on the polytunnel, running the irrigation and opening and closing vents to stop it overheating.

An interest in growing and food is great but most importantly we need someone who is reliable and around nearly every weekend first and last thing. Training will be provided on everything you need to do so no experience is necessary.

We estimate the job will take 6 hours a week and we pay the living wage of £8.25/h.
