Veg Box Newsletter 16/12/16

Morning Folks,

As mentioned in the newsletter last week, credit notes have been issued to those of you who were missing fruit or a small foreign veg additons bag. In the standard veg boxes, we’ve added a bag each of watercress and sprout tops, to make up the value of the missing items.

We’ve noticed that last week and this week, that the milk has a slightly shorter shelf life on it, and we’re in conversation with the Ayrshire Farmers to see if there’s any way the date can be extended.

As it’s the third week of the month, we’re delivering pasta, pulse and grain boxes. They contain a selection of grocery items, which varies month to month. There are a few sizes to choose from: small £10, standard £15, large £20. If you’d like to add one to your order, just let us know.

Now to this weeks veg boxes, here’s what to expect in your delivery this week:

small: potatoes, purple carrots, onions, Chioggia beetroot, January King cabbage, chard

standard: potatoes, purple carrots, onions, Chioggia beetroot, leeks, Hokkaido squash, sprouts, turnips , January King cabbage, chard, watercress, sprout tops

large: potatoes, purple carrots, onions, leeks, kohl rabi, Hokkaido squash, sprouts, January King cabbage, Sutherland kale, Red Russian kale, baby beetroot

Please be sure to leave your veg boxes, egg boxes (any insulated boxes if you get cheese or meat), as we’ll collect them and reuse them.

As always, share your culinary creations with us and your fellow subscribers over on the subscribers Facebook page.

Happy cooking!

Katie

    Hi
Do you deliver West of the city?
We are in Mill Road G81 1EN – just down the hill from Yoker train station.
    It’s actually a Clydebank postcode.
I’d love to order a veg box and some gluten free stuff.
