Veg Box Newsletter 17/03/17

Good Afternoon Folks,

Our growers have been working have been busy with preparations for the new growing season, sowing seeds for cavolo nero, spinach, chard, lettuce and pea shoots. To house the seedlings, shelving units have been built from old pallets. There’s even been some landscape gardening going on, with the polytunnel having undergone a makeover to make the space work more efficiently, with compost being added to the raised beds, and the brassica plots our of doors, to build fertility and improve the soil structure. Beds have been prepared for the direct sowing of broad beans, carrots and radishes.
