Our Growing Sites

Compared to most farms we have quite an unusual set up. We grow on three sites, which are all within 15 miles of one of our shops. Our largest site is Left Field, on a windy hillside overlooking Glasgow; we also grow on an ex-council site in Bellahouston park and have recently purchased land at Narrowboat Farm.

We manage all of our growing to organic principles. Left Field and Bellahouston are accredited by the Soil Association, and Narrowboat Farm is “in conversion”, which means we follow organic standards there, but the site is not yet accredited.

We previously grew at a site in Rouken Glen Park, but have now passed this on to Tenement Veg, a small growing collective. We also have a site called the Croft in Queens Park. This is where our growing began all back in 2013.

You can find out more about each of our sites in the menu above. You may also be interested in reading this interview with our head grower for more information about our growing methods and the philosophy behind them.
