Veg Box Newsletter 21/10/16

Hello Folks,

We’re in the process of opening an online shop for all of our veg box customers. We’ve trialled it a couple of delivery runs this week, and will be opening it to everyone else next week – keep an eye out for an email about this.

Our staples this week of potatoes, carrots, onions and beetroot are from Chapel Farm, East Lothian. There’s also squash from Bedlam Farm, Cambridgeshire in all of the boxes.

The small veg boxes have the above as well as kale from Left Field, Neilston. In addition to the potatoes, carrots, onions, beetroot and squash, the standard boxes have chestnut mushrooms from Northern Ireland and fennel from Left Field.

The large box contains potatoes, carrots, onions, beetroot, squash, and fennel as mentioned above. There’s also leeks and runner beans from Left Field. Our nano growers Jack & Ruth have provided kale from The Urban Croft in Queens Park Recreation Grounds. The extra large box contains all of this, as well as a bag of salad from Left Field.

In the fruit bags today, we have:
#1 Louise Bonne of Jersey pears
#2 Apples (Discovery or Lord Lambourne)
#3 Red Globe grapes
#4 Madarins

This weeks monthly special is pasta pulse and grain selections. They come in three sizes; small £10, standard £15 and large £20, and contain a range of store cupboard staples from our range of bulk goods.

Enjoy your veg!
