Veg Box Newsletter 24/02/17

Good Afternoon Folks,

National CSA day is on March 1st, next Wednesday. We’re one of only two Community Supported Agriculture projects in Scotland, and to celebrate, we’re offering a 25% discount to your friends, family or neighbours. We’ve added a few postcards to each of your veg boxes to share with your nearest and dearest, where they’ll find directions on how to claim 25% off their first month of veg box deliveries.

As it’s the fourth Friday of the month we’re delivering treat boxes, both sweet and savoury. If you’re wondering what else we deliver on a monthly schedule, here’s the schedule:

1st Friday: meat

2nd Friday: cheese

3rd Friday: pasta, pulses & grains

4th Friday: treats

If you’d like more information, or to add one to your order, send us an email, or give us a call.

Watercress, apparently a favourite of Postman Pat’s, features in standard and above veg boxes this week – find out more about it, and what to do with it in our ever expanding veggiepedia.

There are only a few days left to enter this month’s Munch of the Month competition, so get your entries in by sharing your creations on social media with the tags #locavorevegbox and #locavoremm.

The Open Food Network is now open! Orders close at 11pm on Wednesday, for delivery with your veg box next week. We’ve recently expanded our offering, including hot drinks such as tea, coffee and cocoa. New this week is coconut milk and oil. There’s a selection of store-cupboard staples such as bouillon, nuts and seeds, muesli and cereal, household and cleaning products. You’ll also find our veg staples of potatoes, carrots and onions if you simply can’t get enough of them from your veg box.

Enjoy!
