Hello Folks,
Every second Monday our Good Food Fund sends out veg to our partner, The Space, in Belleisle Street. The Space is one of the longest standing partners of the Good Food Fund. Originally they received veg boxes to take home. However, to communally tackle the interesting experience of receiving unkown vegetables, that some of you may be able to relate to, they more recently set up cookery classes.
The classes provide an opportunity for skills development and at the same time feed the people attending the organisation’s drop in sessions. In the cookery classes it transpired that many of the women attending this service are very good at cooking – Romanian food. They now alternate between expanding their culinary horizon with the likes of celeriac and perfecting their traditional dishes.

We’ve another screening in April, hosted by our Zero Waste Team. We’ll be showing the short films ‘Growing an Abundance of Food in the City Using Permaculture’, ‘The Black Isle’, ‘Local Food Roots’ and ‘Kindling: A Sustainable Food Revolution’.
