Veg Box Newsletter w/c 29.04.19

Hello Folks,

For those of you with a standard or larger veg box, you’ll have a lovely wee pot of coriander included as part of your produce. Stand it on a saucer, and water every few days or when the soil starts to dry out, and you should be able to keep harvesting it every now and then.

Well the yellow walls in our shop are looking brighter with the sun making an appearance last week! We’ve got lots of great events coming up this May. Organise a “Behaviour Change – Climate Change” Coaching Session with Locavore Delivery Driver-cum-Co-Active Coach, Graham. Or swap some clothes at the “Swap-o-Rama” clothes swap on 23rd of May if you want to refresh your wardrobe. Check out all the events here or on our Facebook event page.

A little while back we conducted a survey, looking to gain a broad picture of the correlation of veg box to household size in order to give our prospective customers an idea of what size veg box might suit them. Thank you to all of you who took part, and congratulations to Roberta who has won a hamper in the prize draw!

On the subject of prize draws, our Munch of the Month competition for April is now closed. Thank you for all the wonderful entries, which we will now be sifting through and dispersing amongst the rest of the Locavore team for votes. The entry with the most votes amongst our staff will receive a hamper with their next veg box delivery. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page for the winner announcement!

This week we’re delivering meat boxes alongside our veg boxes. You can find more information about our monthly specials here, as well as their delivery schedule. If you’d like to add one to your order, drop us an email at subscribers@glasgowlocavore.org.

If ever you have wondered how to keep your produce at its best for longer, check out storage guidance here for helpful tips and tricks!
