Hello Folks,
This week sees the return of kale to the veg boxes! The small and standard boxes feature green kale from The Organic Pantry, while large and extra large boxes contain kale grown by our own team at Locavore’s Left Feild farm just outside of Neilston. If you’re unsure how to use kale in your meal plans, or would just like some more different and interesting ideas for cooking with kale, we found this handy list of tasty kale recipes here.
Your Good Food Fund donations have a big impact on the service our partners are able to provide, mainly by enabling them to offer fresh fruit and veg to people who could otherwise not afford it. Govan Community Project have told us that they are expecting an increase in take up of their food parcels, due to a wave of evictions that is about the happen in the asylum seeker accommodation in Glasgow. We have therefore increased our donations to this project, making sure that we are using the money to support people in our city who are experiencing destitution.
